McGhee’s Bakery announced as sponsor of the 2026 jogscotland Awards

There’s plenty to celebrate at McGhee’s this year, and now we’re adding the 2026 jogscotland Awards to the list.

As we mark our 90th anniversary, we’re proud to be sponsoring the awards and helping to recognise the people across Scotland who are getting others active, building supportive running communities and making a difference through jogscotland.

Taking place as part of the 4J scottishathletics and jogscotland Annual Awards Dinner, McGhee’s will support four award categories: Achiever of the Year, Jog Group of the Year, Jog Leader of the Year and the SAMH Mental Wellbeing Award.

For Commercial Director Aisling McGhee, the partnership is a chance to recognise the people behind the programme and the role they play in helping more people discover running.

“The jogscotland programme is doing fantastic work to introduce new people to running and help them get active in a supportive and enjoyable environment. We’re proud to be supporting that work through this partnership and helping to recognise the groups and individuals who are making such a difference in communities across Scotland.”

Aisling added: “It’s brilliant to see the impact that local jog groups and their leaders can have, particularly when it comes to helping people feel confident about getting active. We’re looking forward to celebrating the people behind that work at this year’s awards.”

Founded in Glasgow in 1936, McGhee’s is now in its third and fourth generation and continues to bake many of Scotland’s best-loved bakery products, including morning rolls, potato scones and empire biscuits.

With its 90th anniversary celebrations taking place throughout 2026, the partnership with jogscotland gives McGhee’s another opportunity to support the people and communities that make Scotland such a great place to live and work.

The 2026 jogscotland Awards will celebrate the achievements of individuals and groups from across the programme, recognising the contribution they make to helping people get active and supporting their wellbeing.
