Born into the McGhee’s family business, Gordon has dedicated more than five decades to carrying on its proud baking tradition. With an MBA from the University of Glasgow and experience as President of Scottish Bakers, he brings both business insight and genuine passion to his role. Over the past 30 years, Gordon has guided the bakery through exciting periods of growth, expansion, and new opportunities — always with his trademark focus and eye for detail. Never one to stay behind a desk for long, he can usually be found on the bakery floor, and insists he’s still the fastest empire biscuit icer around!

Ian, a third-generation McGhee, has been part of the family business for nearly 40 years. The most recent past President of Scottish Bakers, he remains actively involved on the board and within the wider baking industry. With decades of experience and a genuine passion for the craft, Ian plays a key role in keeping the bakery running smoothly and ensuring every customer order is fulfilled. His dedication is simple, to make sure no customer is ever let down.

Like Gordon and Ian, Stuart, a trained engineer, has been a director at McGhee’s since the 1990s. He leads the company’s sales operations, including management of key supermarket accounts, as well as overseeing logistics and the fleet of 70 vans that deliver fresh baked goods every day. Known for his quick wit and love of words, Stuart keeps the team smiling — and occasionally laughing out loud at his famously humorous out-of-office reply poems.

A fourth-generation McGhee, Aisling brings both family heritage and financial expertise to the business. A qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in the finance sector, she joined McGhee’s as Group Financial Controller and has since taken on a broader commercial role. Today, she oversees key supermarket accounts, leads on commercial finance analysis, and drives the company’s brand strategy and marketing. Aisling loves a good challenge, and an even better spreadsheet.

Also a fourth-generation McGhee, Russell has grown up in the bakery, starting out on the bakery floor before working his way up through roles as operative, manager, and now Operations Director. He brings fresh ideas and a modern approach to every part of production, while leading our brilliant team of bakery managers with energy and enthusiasm.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Bill joined McGhee’s in 2013 after more than 15 years in corporate finance and banking. He leads the Group’s finance function and also oversees the company’s carbon reporting and reduction strategy. In his time with McGhee’s, Bill has become part of the family, bringing both expertise and a collaborative spirit to the team.
