A Generations‑old commitment to people. We care about Scotland, the people who live here, and the causes they care about. It’s a commitment woven into the fabric of McGhee’s, passed down through generations. By supporting vital initiatives and donating our products, we’ve been there to support our neighbours, providing value to our community and always giving more than we take. Here’s what we’ve been up to recently.
CASH FOR KIDS
Our support for Cash for Kids runs deep. Since April 2024, we’ve been an official “Every Pound Partner,” providing crucial financial support to community clubs and organizations right here in Glasgow. One of the community projects that Cash for Kids supports is Royston Youth Action.
“Here at RYA, we provide a safe place where young people can grow into strong, compassionate, active, and healthy individuals through life-changing experiences. With the support of Cash for Kids and McGhees Bakery, we were able to fund our seven week summer programme and provide high quality summer experiences. Our programme included a camping trip, a day out at the beach, a visit to Foxlake Outdoor Adventure, and time at Flip Out. These activities helped ensure that 100 children and young people experienced a memorable and engaging school holiday with meals. Our trips encouraged independence, resilience, collaboration, recreation, social connection, and promoted confidence. We truly value our invaluable partnership and rely on it to support our programme”

HOMELESS PROJECT SCOTLAND
Since 2023, we’ve proudly partnered with Homeless Project Scotland, providing rolls and potato scones for over 37,000 meals in the last year alone. Ensuring warm, nourishing food reaches those who need it most is a cause close to our hearts.
CHARITY & DONATIONS REQUEST POLICY
We are proud to support charitable causes and community initiatives wherever possible. We receive a very high volume of donation requests each month, and while we would love to assist every organisation, it is simply not possible for us to do so.
To ensure our contributions have meaningful impact, we are only able to commit to supporting a limited number of charities and fundraising events each month. All requests are reviewed against our internal criteria, and priority is given to initiatives that align closely with our values, support our local community, or address areas of need that we are actively engaged in.
If you would like to submit a request, please contact us with full details of your organisation and event. Due to the number of enquiries we receive, we may not be able to respond to every request individually.
